Dear Trader,

In order to configure your E-mail settings please perform the following steps:

  1. Go to Preferences and click the field Email Settings

  1. Tick the Enable Email, Use authentication fields.

  2. For gmail tick SSL.

  3. Insert the Sercer (SMTP) and the Port of your Email provider (ex. for gmail Server (SMTP) = smtp.gmail.com , Port = 25).

  4. Then insert the email username and password.

For gmail users only: if you use a two steps authentication, you will need to insert an application password.

WARNING: Email providers do have high level securities that may block users from accessing their accounts using third party applications. In that case users have to go through their Email settings and modify their security settings.

After configuring your E-mail settings you can send Email by triggering the Notifications using the following line:

Notifications.SendEmail("sender@email","recipient@email","email subject","text");

Dear Trader,

The version is already specified in the About window. Please check again and let us know if there is no version in your cTrader.

There in OMF, Pepperstone, MaxFX

Not there in ThinkForex

Dear Trader,

Thank you for noticing this. We will inform our development team to include the versioning in the About window in the future. For your information the current version of Thinkforex cTrader is 1.29.

Dear Trader,

Thank you for your questions.

1. Signal Providers are paid by their Brokers in the form of a deposit at the end of each day (midnight UTC) once the commissions they are due have been realized.

2. The commissions which a Signal Provider charges are taken from the Mirror Trader by their Broker, just like they are if a broker charges trading commissions. Commissions are added to the Mirror Traders position/deal and accounted for in a separate field inside the ticket. The spread is not affected in any way.

3. There is no additional latency caused by the Mirror Trader and Signal Provider residing with different brokers, this is because all cTrader brokers are collocated.

We are happy to answer any other questions that you may have.

Dear Trader,

cTrader measures latency to every available proxy in order to connect to the proxy with minimal latency. We use proxies around the world to improve the connection quality for end-users. You can find information about the proxy you are connected in the down-right corner of cTrader.

Dear Trader,

There is no way to suppress this warning. The correct way to obtain the EURUSD symbol is:

MarketData.GetSymbol("EURUSD");

Dear Trader,

if you want to distinguish trades of your cBots we can recommend you to do the following:

1) Use unique label or comment in the code of your cBots

2) Select the History tab.

3) Right click on any header of the columns shown in the History tab.

4) Tick the Label/Column Line by selecting it.

5) Click the Statement button.

Now your exported report will contain labels/comments of your cBots.

We hope this helps.

Dear Trader,

When you perform a Backtesting with the same parameters from Optimization the results must be the same because of the same historical data. When you run a cBot in a demo/live account you use real-time data which can be different from previous historical data. Therefore the behavior of cBot could be different.
