Hi Panagiotis, I just sent you another one, per the attached image. Includes forum url as requested. And a personal message.

1300MB after a few hours of idle, no trading at all.

I sure did.

:) A small but essential nuance. Thank you. I had obviously just been clicking on the chart background, as I do for all other dragging

Done.

I ran two instances cTrader from the same broker side by side. Identical Workspaces, except one had more indicators than the other. The RAM usage was not significantly different between the two instances. Within maybe 5 hours, both hit 1500MB without any trading at all. Windows minimized.

You think I didn't already try that? I would not have asked if it was that simple :)

I am unable to click and drag the chart to the left. I can drag in any direction, but not left.

Hi Panagiotis, how do I generate the trouble shooting info?

Thanks for the fast reply.

Hi dmn,

We do believe you, you are not crazy, we saw the video. We just need to find out why it happens.

I will check what we can do with the forum settings with the web dev team.

Best Regards,

Panagiotis

Hi Panagiotis, this issue is still happening for me, after a break from trading for 2 months (can't ski and trade every day at the same time!)

It only happens for the first trade of a new session. The shield icon on the chart does not activate the ATP dialogue.  Immediately after trying that, the shield button in the positions tab does work as intended.

If I can get the time to create a test workspace that produces this issue, I'll let you know and we can set up that desktop share session as previously discussed.

And one day forum post editing, so I can fix my nonsensical auto-correct and typo errors. :)

eg, "Hides all 4 sizes of menus" = Hides all 4 sides of menus.

Anyway, I like cTrader as a foundation. It is good that they work with users to enhance the hands-on trading experience as time goes by. There are some good platforms out there, but their limited broker connections make them almost useless. cTrader might just hit the sweet spot combination in coming years.

Andrew, thanks for the support.

I can live with extra menu/button clutter in single-chart mode, but mult-charts in one window = too much redundant tools etc on each chart.

Right click contextual menus and hot keys can access all settings on the fly, agreed. And larger setting dialogue windows can do the rest, activate the dialogue via the right click contextual menu.

Trading View (a big yuck for trading, but good for viewing) have a nice full screen toggle mode. Hides all 4 sizes of menus etc and just shows the chart, no other settings. Esc to revert.

Thank you. Overall better object management would help. A window listing all objects for management, rather than a hard to manipulate contextual right click menu, for example. :)

[And thank you for fixing to forum login re-redirect to home page issue.]

This, along with any other advanced pre-set trade strategies for positon sizing and TP and multiple SL/TSL level management would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks fo rterh follow-up. I think I al;reay have my broker accounts linked to my cTID. I'll check.

In the meantime, are you suggesting that I do not use the cTrader version that is independent of any broker?  Was hoping to use one installation, then switch between brokers. I can forgget that idea if you say so.

RE:

Here, buy clicking on the little "i" for info.

None of my accounts appear in the accounts list.

ps, I really have to stress once again contantluy being logged out of the forum, then being redirected back to ctrader home page after re-logging into the forum to reply a comment is insanely annoying and is probably costing you guys community input and feedback.

Hi Panagiotis, I seem to hit 1000MB RAM usage within an hour or so of trading. My workspace has two tick charts, several indicators on each. And a daily chart.

It seems that once I get to appox 1000MB, cTrader slows right down and I have to restart. I have 8gb memory, and my PC tends to operate using about 50% of that.

Just restarted cTrader a few times, was able to get the problem to occur once on the first of 4 restarts I did. The other 3 restarts did not have the problem.  And again, able to activate AP via the botton only within Positions tab.  I know i am repeating myself, but it confirms previous obs.
