Yes I too would like to be able to choose when I do the update and to be able to rollback more than one update
without loosing anything would be great too

Guess it doesn't matter which does what as both features are useful as long as it stays same from here on

 

EDIT: But yes agree, would prefer the way it was, scrolling mouse to scroll the charts

This doesnt make any sense as spotware should be the gatekeepers of the platform enviroment and control much like what apple does with their apps, microsoft is doing
to their platform and possibly google does too.

So if the developer code is doing something unscrupulas, the trader would have to understand code, trust a fancy website and a complete developer stranger to portray as
as good developer when they could perform malicious unscrupulas or financial crimes against traders without anyone knowing possibly ever by way of skimming front running etc or other crimes most traders dont know understand?

Couldnt framework or api's or whatever limit monitor vet what a developer could perform activity illegally?
Otherwise the everyday trader has No way of knowing understanding what is trustworthy and what is not other than a fancy videos, website indicator that does one thing for user
and other things in the background?

What does the unlimited access mean when prompted by an indicator?

Does this mean they could access a traders funds?
Does it mean it could use username and passwords?
Could it frontrun trades?
Or many other things?

How much at risk is the trader and his account?

You may like to update to pepperstone (or your broker) ctrader app 4.1.54293 as this problem has been fixed for me without changing anything as had the exact same symptons, didnt work on optus, telstra vodaphone 4G networks directly, only on wifi or hotspot using same carriers.

This problem has been ongoing since the begining of the year, see thread below

This problem has now been fixed for me since updating to pepperstone ctrader app 4.1.54293

I have conducted more indepth tests and can confirm the following:

* All devices, current app and legacy app worked reliably until last couple weeks

* Two iPhone devices IOS 14.3 & 14.4.2 work reliably on wifi but not on Telstra 4G or Optus 4G 

* Both iPhones and one iPad works reliably using tehtering via same Telstra 4G iPhone with IOS 14.4.2 installed

* Ctrader current 4.054280 or legacy app won't work on Telstra4G or Optus4G networks

* Same outcomes for Telstra4G Optus4G on IOS 14.3 though works reliably on wifi and tethering

* Same symptoms on both devices both apps and both IOS's "connecting..." never timing out though
connects through wifi within few seconds.

Given the testing I would imagine this couldn't be a ISP blocking or ISP related issue?

Please advise

I've been troubleshooting this same problem as well, where it wont connect to ctradr server on Telstra 4G mobile network, seems to
be after a recent update, where its been rock solid for last 6 months.

I also tried the legacy app with same symtoms.

I have also updated to IOS 14.4.2 on both iphone x and ipad and doesnt work on 4G network and works always when on wifi network

I couldn't see how the ISP blocking as the same device same IOS same app that wont connect on 4G connects immediately on telstra wifi

I've also deleted the app and its data and re signed in again and get exact same issue

Lastly I just tried connecting from ipad wiif only device using my ios iPhone as hotspot and works yet wont work directly from iphone unless it is connection to wifi

Yes agree would be a great feature like whats on TradingView.

Thyis feature has been suggested before from other community members though not implemented as yet.

Its been suggested using some sort of development bot to be able to back test but that would require
more advanced learning particularly for new trader.

4HR cTrader or Indicator Bug

Hi Panagiotis

I have setup a second machine and tried using the same indicators but the identical problem occurs
on the 4hr chart only.

So is this an indicator(s) problem or is this a big with cTrader?

How do we find a list of brokers that offer this service as my broker has disabled or doesn't want to offer them?

Its would be a shame if cTrader spend time to develop them and the brokers doesn' want the client to have them

Volume DO(Market)

I didnt think forex traders use DOM given there is no centralised exchange showing "market" depth and as
such can only show local "broker" depth?

maybe I'm wrong and there is a way to see market depth so would like to hear more on this?
