Hi,

have not inured it so far, an invalid stop loss. Maybe this behavior can happen if the stop loss is modified within the spread? So far had no problems with changing the stop loss.

Hi,

I have the same standpoint, showing the status of our account and positions it in both percentage ( ) and in value will give us a correct reading on how well we are doing in our trading.

Also colored information is important, like "red" for negative and "green for positive to give an example, might be a good choice.

Hi,

I like the suggestion to be able to change colors. How about changing the negative, orange to "red" for the time being. I think given a proper color to how the positions are doing as well as the account status overall is very much needed. Thanks for your suggestion cccw50, given the right color makes it easier to see how we are preforming. I would like to be able to select time periods as well, like one day, weekly and so on, all showing in the right color of the performance.

Multiple stop out and target levels

Hi,

to protect the trading account with an account stop out is of course very important. I would say multiple stop loss and target levels is needed to lock in profits and minimize draw downs on different levels.

Have a look at the RMM Robot 2.0, a cBot built on these so crucial risk &money management principles.

Update the ChartObjects.DrawText

Wow, do the ChartObjects.DrawText get small on a 4K monitor!

I do think with the the 4K resolution around the corner and soon being the main resolution for both monitors and TVs, the ChartObjects.DrawText needs a major update.

Any news on the horizon for us so we can select different sizes on fonts so they can be easy readable on higher resolutions?

.

CFD's available now!

There are brokers streaming CFD's on popular indices and hopefully more will follow. Been testing it and it works fine within both cTrader and cAlgo.

Robot Competition

The subject of this thread is "Robot Competition". I am all for it, if it is conducted direct from Spotware to announce such a competition. The programmers needs to have an outlet and show off their work. I think it will benefit the whole community.

Hotkeys!

Hjorzan, this is a feature we all are waiting for. Hotkeys to start / stop robots, to place orders and so forth. The Spotware team is very much aware of this crucial ingredient missing in the platform. A must have to compete with other platforms 'cause most of them have it.

Hi jhtrader,

I do not exactly what have caused the problem between you and Scyware but I agree it should have been easily solved by good communication and understanding from both sides. In my opinion the Scyware plugin is a very useful tool and a very intelligent plugin that enables you to to control different cBots running together under cAlgo. At this time this is not possible within the cAlgo API so we are welcoming Scyware for taking their time and effort in developing this plugin. The price they are asking for the Robotlink is also incredible low comparing to all the features included, and we can not ask for extensive support beyond their initial support for the plugin. Anyways anyone interested in reading more about the Robotlink plugin can do it right here http://scyware.com/robotlink

The issue has been fixed. Please reupload your avatars.

There is still a few problems with uploading an Avatar.

We need to know what kind of format that is accepted, jpg, gif, png etc.

My Avatar is out of proportions as you can see on my upload, not presenting the true size of the picture.

There should be two choices when uploading an Avatar.

1. Fit to the size of the allowed size of the Avatar window.

2. Keep aspect ratio intact when uploading a picture.

In my case I would have chosen #2.

I have been testing this new feature of optimization. Wow! This gives us programmers a whole new spectrum to work with. We can streamline the cBot and make all the necessary changes in the parameters suited for the trading environment at hand. Good work Spotware! I would like one new edition though which I do not know if it is possible. To run more then one cBot at the time. For example, two cBots running through the optimization process together giving a mix of both cBots performances. That would be absolutely great if it is in the realm of doing so within cAlgo.

Hi strmb001,

it's just a confirmation you need to make and tell the browser you accept the websites and the trading platform to be launched. The broker you are using is a well known firm so no problems there and cTrader and cAlgo is also to be trusted exclusively so just agree on all the questions the browser ask you to answer.

Hope this will get you started quickly and without any more problems.

Hi,

So do I.. :)  I think "avionforex" is trying to point out that a feed from a MT4 broker can be executed within cTrader. Can it be done? Of course not they are a complete set of different feeds and they are not compatible.Trying to do this in live trading is in my opinion not going to work. "avionforex" can try but I would not. If the MT4 feed is from a "Market Maker" and not from a ECN broker that would make it even a more dangerous scenario. Nice idea though.. :).. but I think I stay with the original cTrader brokerage provider feed.

myfxbook linkup

Hi,

I have linked this demo account with myfxbook.com and made it public. I use it as a testing ground for different RMM strategies. We all know that a demo account is just that and it can't be taken too seriously but nevertheless, ideas can be tested and myfxbook is a great additional tool for the trader to give him more insight when it comes to risk & money management information.

Hi gregschr,

I agree totally on your suggestion. Undo / Redo is on my high priorety list as well for the cAlgo editor.
