Looks like you've seen the video now nice one - quite disconcerting eh!

Now that 4.1 is back online I have the exact same bots running (as they have been for many months) with absolutely no issues like this/am not seeing this anomaly

No idea if the code would actually execute on those figures (assume it would otherwise why would it be drawing that info onto the chart if it didn't think that was what the NetProfit was) but anyway over to you and best of luck sorting it out

Right ok and yeh thanks for that I didn't know the ? got you to the area to submit tech report/issue so that's a new one for me thank you! :)

Agreed it doesn't seem they have test servers/environments running as surely these issues would be apparent long before users started flagging them up

Anyway looks like we're in business now (thank you Spotware for the reply/looking into this) which I can only think happened because of me slightly 'losing' it on the telegram chat and PanagiotisChar realising that even though he doesn't use that part of cTrader he does experience the issue but can live with it but that perhaps for others it is bordering on a showstopper and has nudged someone at spotware thankfully - anyway whatever/however it looks like the message has got through finally so lets hope for a fix soon and onwards n upwards!

It is now happening on my GBP account so have stopped all bots on that account too!

Thankfully I have a simple strategy having had platform issues as one of the many issues that can affect trading worked into the mix that I can manually trade the positions but the manual trades will need to be continually manually monitored alongisde what the algo is doing - it is beyond frustrating!

It looks like something is happening with the 4.1 connection issue - if that gets back online my issues are over and I go back in my hole and stick with 4.1 - please take your pick on what to devote your resources to! my money would be on getting 4.1 back online please!

Panagiotis has just now admitted on the telegram chat he is also having this issue but doesn't consider it to be much of a problem for him and doesn't exeperience any other issues (4.5.4) so at least there is some acknowledgement but yes if it is not considered to be much of a problem what hope is there of it ever being taken seriously and getting resolved... (who could work in excel/photoshop/[enter any software title here] if the page just dissapeared every few hours and you have to restart losing your work?!? What software company would not take that seriously?!

Meanwhile we have (mostly irrelevant and useless in fact cumbersome and obtrusive for me but appreciate it may be the best thing yet for others) eye candy additions to the platform...

I agree - sadly these forums seem to be all but offically dead - just discovered the 4.1 issue is a pinned message in the official Telegram chat - that's the way to announce a serious issue? nothing in your official fourm? Looks like that is the way spotware want to do their support now in an utter avalanche of thousands of messages - call me old school but how can that be an effective support mechanism?

Yes all these years I have only ever briefly looked at and disliked MT for it's simple looking interface (started on ProRealTime but yeh no idea if they are still going I wouldn't want to stay with them for similar reasons as to what is going on here now even if they are) but there is obviously a reason it is the top retail traders trading platform of choice - it is stable and dependable and it works - no doubt it has it's issues but yes the eye candy element spotware seem to want to take their product offering and the complete stone wall deafening silence from support (Panagiotis seems to be almost the only support/ex employee that ever replies) and these endless runs of version jumps I am sure can only end badly

I said it on another post and feel very sad to say it again but it really feels like the writing is on the wall here this just isn't how a software company offering mission critical software can operate and survive... :(

I think it is safe to say these forums are all but officially dead - the issue is a pinned message in the offical cTrader Telegram channel (server update over the weekend/they're trying to fix it... 4.1 is not end of life) PanagiotisChar is replying about it on there and everyone is talking/complaining about it etc.

PanagiotisChar is right (as always/top bloke!) ChatGPT is giving it a go but getting some things badly wrong that it is going to throw all those errors

I made this video yesterday (to try and keep my mind off the 4.1 connection issues!) to walk through how I would go about fixing the code - take note I am by far no professional developer/100% self taught and no doubt a lot of bad habits/ways about doing things but hopefully it gives you something to go on to develop your own style of working things out

PS - I later realised what the supertrend = 1 was probably meaning if the Up/DownTrend was áctive or not (it reports as NaN when not being caluclated in the indicator) so to trigger when it is not NaN I would suggest using  !double.IsNaN(SuperTrend.UpTrend.LastValue)

Can someone from Spotware please at least acknowledge this issue the thread was started Sunday and still not a single reply from Spotware - if it is an intended action (discontinuing 4.1) surely you have an obligation to let your users know - if it is a technical fault surely it must be top priority and you owe it to your client base to acknowledge the issue at the very least

PanagiotitChar - with all respect and I know you don't work for Spotware anymore but I can see you are replying to other threads so must be seeing this one - do you not have any idea about what is happening/can give us some info please?

I would really like to use 4.5.xx but it simply is not working for my live trading what am I supposed to do here I feel like we are being hung out to dry!

This was working late last night (my USD IC Markets Raw Trading account showing correct netprofit calculation) that I thought it had been picked up and sorted

Checked this thread and no reply and also no email reply from Spotware to my CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+T report (I don't think I have ever recevied a reply to anything I have reported like that come to think of it!)

But this morning it still has the same problem!

I am having to manually trade my algo's positions - this is totally messing everything up as my strategy relies on position labels (as well as the calculated NetProfit) so the manual trades do not have any labels meaning I will need to continue to manually monitor the manually traded positions until the algo completes (which could be months!)

Please Spotware can you acknowledge/reply/give me some hope here!

There is another thread about this that I first reported back in September (it started long before that though) and isn't related to renko charts (I don't/have never used them)

Fair enough you didn't see it as when you search the forums here for 'Losing Automate Display' you get nothing but if you put the same search term including cTrader into google it's the first hit and is the only way I can keep finding it again! So basically the search function within these forums does not work properly!

Anyway at least you have been getting replies from Spotware they seem to be totally ignoring the other thread and were saying they couldn't replicate the issue but there are more and more clients having the issue - it is VERY frustrating and disconcerting to trade on a platform that blacks out!

I would think that is machine specific not broker related if it is simply refusing to install as opposed to login issues - wouldn't want to take this thread off track but be interested to see what error you're getting

Yes PIA is an understatment... and still not a word from Spotware - I assume 4.1 is considered low priority with the cascade of newer versions (and their seemingly overwhelming number of issues) overshadowing it but for me (and surely many others/is anyone else out there actually live trading algo's with cTrader?!)  it is literally the only version of cTrader that (used to at least!) works

Unless I'm missing something the latest post on this thread is showing as 11 Feb 2022, 05:51 - why has it made it to the top/most recent post?

It's the second or third one I've seen like this now... (coincidence it is about connectivity issues the same as happening now with 4.1?)

No idea why that would be happening (guess you've restartred/apologies in advance to insult your intelligence ;)  but yeh Spotware's uninstall help page is so out of date - for example there is no longer any app 2.0 folder or whatever it used to create but that is part of the uninstall instructions last I looked

The broker specific 4.1 doesn't even seem to be an install it just unpacks the .exe - into the downloads folder if that is where you run it from!

Image below shows the ctrader.exe 4.1 I just downloaded (local on laptop/test environment only) but have no idea where it "installed" to and also the broker specific 4.1 I installed (unpacked) back in March (really! omg where does the time go/has this all been going on that long really!)

yes the silence is really deafening here... looks like Spotware can see many users are sticking with 4.1 due to all the issues with more recent versions (can't understand how anyone can be trading live - at least not algo/perhaps manual is ok on the recent versions) and are trying to get it to run cross broker which seems to be the mission goal for them recently assumedly for business reasons but there isn't going to be much business left if users can't trade!

I have the (FTX influenced yes perhaps!) phrase 'the writing was on the wall'' on repeat in my head for months with Spotware and it is getting louder and louder as much as I really realllllly hope someone responds about this issue to at least let us know they know about it!

I just tried hitting Ctrl+Alt+Shift+T in 4.5.1 and downloaded and installed 4.1 and get this when trying to login (looks spotware has tried to make 4.1 multi broker as it has the spotware logo?! and is also showing as Public Beta top left)

which is totally different from the 4.1 broker specific version I have been using fine for many months

Please Spotware give us a clue what is going on!

I already reported this issue - spotware seem to be struggling with support - please lets try not to hit them with multiple posts about the same issue just have a quick look through recent posts before you start a new one

I'm reluctant to try Panagiotis suggestion to hit my registry and see it has already been tried and didn't work for others - I am having NO ISSUES logging into 4.5.xx this is only happening with 4.1 and I haven't run any windows updates between 4.1 logging in fine then no longer logging in fine!

Other than my reasons stated in my post about this for not wanting to use 4.5.xx I have just realised this issue was another VERY importatnt reason I could not use 4.5.xx and it is STILL a problem! (beware anyone who is being forced to move their live trading from 4.1 to any newer version - check check and check again for what is vs what should be happening would be my advice!) It is not correctly reading the position array netprofit ffs which my strategy 100% relies on!

Spotware - please yeh sorry I am really losing my patience and getting so frustrated but I know it doesn't help etc etc. but how much more of this approach can we take?

This has been going on for a very long time now since all these rapid updates and serious issues don't seem to be getting fixed (eg. I have indicator info overlay suddenly appear on my charts in 4.5.xx covering up the charts! Was that a top priority suggestion from the many posted or something?! For me it is very annoying and thankfully can be turned off but yeh was this really worthy of the development time when there are seemingly so many much more serious issues that are affecting trading?)

Can you PLEASE let us know what is going on ASAP just give us a clue if this is on purpose (4.1 is end of life/you've pulled the plug?) or the issue is your end/broker end? (assume it's not broker - I'm on IC Markets Raw Trading)
