Hi. I tapped 7 times on the logo and was asked to submit the information. I did. But there was not text field to enter the link of this discussion. Same for iPad.
Hi there,
Can you please provide us an approximate time when you sent the troubleshooting?
Can you please provide more information about the issue? What do you mean when you say it doesn't work? Can you share the source code as well as steps to reproduce?

Search was removed. Now you can open log file as txt files and search there

Panagiotis,
That I've noticed. Is this considered an improvement?
With the built-in search function only the search results that matched the search were showing. There was also a filter (trading, information, warning, error).
I don't think that such features are available in notepad or similar app.
Regarding backtesting: I see the option of having a built-in search/ filter feature of much higher applicability than an option to save the log as a .txt file.
In fact, I see both these options as complementary and not as incompatible.
Please note that, among other, it is not very practical to have to open external applications to check backtest data on every backtest iteration.
I can already tell you that, in my case, this will be a huge drawback when backtesting, since I am still expecting thousands of iterations to come.
It's not clear for me what you are doing and what is not working. Why don't you create one profile for each account and se the desired account as the last accessed for the specific profile? What does not work in this scenario?
Best regards,
Panagiotis
Let me simplify
I manage two separate accounts on cTrader (Account A and Account B). To streamline my operations, I attempted to create individual profiles for each account and set up corresponding desktop shortcuts intended to launch cTrader directly into these specific accounts. However, I've encountered an issue where cTrader does not adhere to the account-specific profiles as expected.
Here's the process I followed: 1. I created Profile 1 linked to Account A and Profile 2 linked to Account B (maybe explain me how to do this part correctly) 2. I set up desktop shortcuts for each profile, aiming to open cTrader directly with the respective accounts. 3. Despite this setup, cTrader consistently opens with the last account that was active before the application was closed, regardless of the chosen profile. For instance, if I close cTrader while Account B is active and later open cTrader using the shortcut for Profile 1 (linked to Account A), it still defaults to Account B.
I am using the "multiple profiles" setting during startup, but this issue persists, causing unintended orders on the wrong account due to the need to manually switch accounts every time I launch cTrader.
Could you please clarify the proper steps “create one profile for each account and the desired account as the last accessed for the specific profile?”
I suspect I might be missing a crucial step or misunderstanding the setup process. Detailed guidance on ensuring each profile reliably opens with its designated account would be immensely helpful. Thank you.
Your setup seems correct. I have a similar setup but I do not experience such a problem. Accounts always default to the last used for the profile. I will check again over the weekend and see what happens.
Apparently this issue is still in present in v5.0.19.
Aren't the results suppose to match 100% regardless of which data bars are selected, on condition that the same data is used in both visual/non-visual modes? Anyway, running backtests on tick data for every strategy iteration can be impractical.
It doesn't seem logical (at all) to me that checking/unchecking the visual mode box should affect results when the all the underlying data remains the same. Given this, it is highly unlikely that this is a user or cBot issue, suggesting an issue within cTrader's backtesting logic.
As you know, backtesting is crucial for traders to evaluate cBot logic accurately. Solving this inconsistency is central for traders to have confidence in their backtesting and, as a result, being confident about their cBot development process.
Last but not least, this issue has been reported multiple times. When will this finally be addressed?
Can you be more specific with your question? What broker do you use? Is the symbol available in cTrader application but not in your Open API? Can you explain to us how we can reproduce the problem?
