1) This is a very general question and there is no single answer to this. Note that the execution time does not depend so much on the platform as on your strategy's code. It's your code that is getting executed for most of the time. You need to code your strategy for both platforms and make comparisons.

2) You can use m1 bars in a CSV format. Backtesting on m1 bars is faster than tick data backtesting.

3) Depends on your code.

4) The faster the better, always :)

Thanks for reporting this, we will check. In the meanwhile, I would suggest to use Visual Studio as a code editor, since it is a complete IDE.

There is no ranking algorithm. You sort and filter the strategies yourself.

Try the workaround below

Search for "ctrader.exe.config" files in your "...AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\" folder
Add "<gcServer enabled="true" />" as the fist element under the "<runtime>" in all the files you find.
Restart cTrader.
