anyone tried SmartTrade GoldEdge bot for trading?

hey folks, I stumbled across this new bot on cTrader called SmartTrade GoldEdge. it's priced at $49, and it uses some AI trading strategies. the profit factor seems decent at 1.97, but I'm a bit wary about the 13.6% max balance drawdown. has anyone here given it a shot or have any insights on its performance in live trading? all these numbers always make me cautious, especially when they just come from backtests. keen to hear any real-world experiences or thoughts.

appreciate the reply! yeah, the AI buzz is a bit over the top sometimes, so I'm with you on that. it's reassuring to hear I'm not the only one skeptical about the drawdown numbers. starting on a demo is probably a good call. I guess my main worry is if it performs way differently in live trading than in those backtests. have you had any bots that surprised you, either good or bad, when you took them live? would love to hear more about experiences if you have any.

so I haven't used the GoldEdge bot myself, but I get what you're saying about the drawdown. that's a bit high for my taste too. honestly, anything above 10% makes me nervous. I prefer trading bots that have been tested in live environments rather than just backtests because backtests can look great on paper but don't always hold up in reality. also, the AI trading buzzwords are everywhere lately, but it doesn't always translate to better performance. I'd say if you're thinking about it, maybe start it on a demo first to see how it handles live market conditions and if it's worth the investment. just my two cents!
