anyone checked out prop firm control free plugin?

hey folks, just came across this new Prop Firm Control Free plugin on the cTrader marketplace. it's free, which is kinda nice, but I'm wondering if there's a catch. it mentions stuff like risk alerts, balanced trading, and a drawdown guard. has anyone given it a whirl yet? curious if it actually helps manage risk effectively or if it's just another one of those things that sounds good on paper. any feedback would be awesome!

haven't used it personally, but i've poked around some forums where people are chatting about it. the general vibe seems to be that it does a decent job at alerting you to risks before things get too out of hand. some folks mentioned it actually helped them keep a better eye on their drawdown limits, which can be a lifesaver, especially when trading with prop firms that have strict rules. since it's free, maybe it's worth just trying it out without too much expectation and seeing how it fits into your trading style. can't really see a downside to giving it a test drive, just make sure it doesn’t become a crutch.

thanks for the insight! sounds like it's got some potential, at least enough to try without risking anything other than a bit of time. i'm definitely intrigued by the drawdown guard bit, especially with prop firms breathing down your neck about rules. i'll give it a go and see if it meshes with how i trade. i'm curious though—those folks you mentioned who found it helpful, were they using it alongside other tools, or flying solo with it? just trying to gauge how integrated it needs to be with my current setup.

hey, i've taken a quick look at it. the fact that it's free is definitely appealing, but I've always been skeptical about plugins. sometimes they sound super promising and then don't do much. it seems like it'd be useful if you're trying to control your trading risks without spending too much, but i'd be careful about relying on it entirely. haven't personally used it extensively yet, but the drawdown guard feature caught my attention. might be worth a shot, but keep an eye on how it's actually performing in your trades.
