anyone used the prop firm control plugin?
01 Jul 2026, 14:56
hey folks, just stumbled across this Prop Firm Control plugin on cTrader marketplace. it's priced at $29 and seems aimed at those trading with prop firms, featuring stuff like daily loss limiter and risk alerts. also mentions a performance report and equity stop guard. anyone here tried it out?
kinda curious if it's actually helpful with managing risks and drawdowns, especially for those working with strict prop firm rules. but always skeptical about plugging something new into my setup. any feedback or experiences would be appreciated!

yo, i haven't personally bought the prop firm control plugin, but a buddy of mine did because he's trading with a prop firm and needed some better risk management. from what he mentioned, the daily loss limiter is pretty solid, especially when you're trying to stick to those prop firm rules. he said the performance reports helped him see where he was making dumb mistakes. the only thing he grumbled about was that it took a bit of tweaking to get the equity stop guard set up right. so, if you're already in that ecosystem, it might be worth a look, but yeah, always a bit of a gamble plugging new stuff into your workflow.

appreciate the insights! hearing that your buddy found the daily loss limiter useful is definitely reassuring. tweaking the equity stop guard sounds a bit of a hassle but not a dealbreaker. i'm always a bit wary of how these plugins integrate with existing setups, so might take the plunge and give it a test run on a demo first to see how it fits. thanks again for the heads-up!

yeah, i've checked out the prop firm control plugin but haven't pulled the trigger yet. from what i've seen, it seems useful if you're deep into prop trading and need that extra layer of safety net with the daily loss limiter and stuff. i'm always wary though, cause integrating new plugins can sometimes feel like adding more moving parts that'll act up. if you're often flirting with the edges of a prop firm's rules, might be worth considering, but if your risk management is already tight, maybe it's overkill? would love to hear if anyone's noticed a real difference using it.
