Save Lot Size Per Account in Quick Trade Panel to Prevent Trading Errors

Hello Spotware Team and Fellow Traders,

I’d like to suggest a feature for the Quick Trade panel that I believe would greatly enhance usability and help traders avoid costly mistakes:

Feature Request

Enable the option to save the lot size setting per account in the Quick Trade panel, per trading instrument. This would mean that when switching between accounts (via the dropdown in the upper-right corner), the lot size field would automatically adjust to the value last used or set for that specific account.

This feature is already present in the web application, but is missing on the cTrader desktop version.

Why Is This Feature Important?

Many traders, myself included, manage multiple accounts of different sizes and trade with different lot sizes depending on the account's balance, risk tolerance, or strategy. The current system uses a global lot size setting across all accounts, which can lead to the following problems:

1. Error-Prone Trading: Forgetting to adjust the lot size after switching accounts can result in using an inappropriate lot size, potentially leading to over-leverage or under-utilized trades.
2. Increased Manual Steps: Constantly re-adjusting the lot size after switching accounts adds unnecessary friction to trading workflows.

Proposed Functionality

1. Save the last used lot size for each account, so it automatically updates when the account is switched.
2. Optionally, provide a setting to enable or disable this behavior for those who prefer the current system.

Benefits

• Reduced Risk: Helps traders avoid errors caused by incorrect lot sizes.
• Improved Efficiency: Saves time and effort, especially for traders frequently switching between accounts.
• User-Friendly: Aligns with the logical expectation that each account might require different trade parameters.

This small but impactful feature would be a significant quality-of-life improvement for many traders, especially those managing multiple accounts.
