Optimisation improvements do not execute draw commands in not visual mode
23 Jan 2019, 11:51

Much to my surprise i saw some of my draw-text messages popup in backtesting 'non-visual'
Please do not execute then when not the visual mode checkbox is checked.

And if it is checked please maintain al draws after the backtest finished. (or make that an option)

Hi ctid711538,

Can you help us reproduce this problem? Maybe with a sample cBot and backtesting parameters and dates?

Best Regards,

Panagiotis

As a professional software engineer i know it is not neccessaray to send cbot+parameter and dates to investigate this problem.
So please do not ask for things that are not needed!
Furthermore i cant send anything due to non-disclosure agreements.
With Pop-up i mean you can see the drawresults in a flash somewhere at the end of the backtest.
Now that should not be to difficult to trace if your software is well designed

Ηι ctid711538,

I just asked for a sample cBot (not your actual cBot) and some information that would help us see exactly what you are seeing. As a software professional you should know that this a standard process in reporting defects and other issues so that misunderstandings are minimized. Even a screenshot would be helpful. After we make sure that we are reproducing the same behavior, we can tell you if this is a bug or an intended behavior.

Best Regards,

Panagiotis

It being a 'a standard process in reporting defects and other issues ' does not make it a right processs in this case, nor it having any added value.

Asking for a screenshot of something that comes by evrey now and then in a flash is undoable.

Just ask your developers why the execute a drawtext in non-visual mode in stead of skipping all the draws and you're done.
