FIX Session Default Password
FIX Session Default Password
23 Dec 2024, 17:18
I am trying to connect to multiple FIX sessions at once on different accounts. I know that the FIX password is not the same as my CTID password and I know we can use the “Change Password” button under the FIX config settings on the account however I'm looking to automate this process without the need for manual intervention. It would be good to know if it is possible to know (or fetch) the default FIX password or is it random? If it is random and therefore not possible for us to know it when connecting a new account, is there an endpoint we can use to change the password? Just trying to not have a user do this process.

Hi Panagiotis,
Thanks for your response I appreciate it.
Just to confirm, if we can't the get the initial password, there is also no endpoint to change the password ourselves either?
Kind Regards.
