Had a positive trade with almost 300 pips and my TP got hit, I got a negative balance out of the trade

Had a positive trade with almost 300 pips and my TP got hit, I got a negative balance out of the trade. I lost money on the trade when even my TP was like 1/3 of what I lost. The spread was not high, how is it possible to hit TP with 300 pips and get x3 negative balance out of the trade!?
