Request for Review of Trade Execution Case
Request for Review of Trade Execution Case

Dear cTrader Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a concern regarding my recent trade execution that has had a significant impact on my trading experience with Funding Pips.
During a high-impact news event, my TradingView alerts indicated that my Take Profit (TP) was successfully triggered before my Stop Loss (SL) was adjusted to Break Even (BE). Here are the key points I would like to emphasize:
1. **Evidence of TP Execution**: The alerts clearly show that my TP was hit first. Given that the market conditions at that time allowed for this execution, it is reasonable to expect that my trade should have been closed in profit at that level, irrespective of subsequent market movements.
2. **Nature of Slippage**: While I understand that slippage is a common occurrence, especially during volatile market periods, it should not retroactively affect a trade that was successfully executed. In this case, my TP was available and should have been honored before any slippage could take effect.
3. **Impact on Trading Performance**: The outcome of this trade has had a considerable effect on my trading results. I had taken necessary precautions by moving my SL to BE to protect my capital, and I believe that my efforts to manage the trade should be recognized in this review.
4. **Customer Relationship**: As a loyal user of the cTrader platform, I value the commitment to fairness and transparency. Addressing this situation not only aligns with those values but also fosters a positive relationship with your clients, showing that their concerns are taken seriously.
I kindly request that you review the specifics of this case, taking into account the sequence of events and the evidence provided. I believe that a favorable resolution to this matter would reflect well on the commitment of cTrader to its clients and their trading experiences.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.
Best regards,

Hi Panagiotis,
Thank you for your response. I reached out to the prop firm, and they mentioned that there's nothing they can do about it, even though my TP was hit a few seconds before the SL.
Best regards,

Hello Panagiotis,
Thank you for your response. I understand that my request may be outside of the usual scope, but could you please confirm whether my understanding of the trade execution is correct? Specifically, I would like confirmation on whether my Take Profit (TP) was hit before my Stop Loss (SL) in this case, and if so, whether it should have been prioritized in closing the trade.
I would like to have this confirmation from cTrader, as it will help me address the situation with my prop firm, Funding Pips. I appreciate your support in clarifying this matter.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Best regards,

No I cannot confirm this. A Sell TP is triggered by Ask prices while the candles are drawn using Bid prices. So the candles themselves is not a sufficient evidence of an issue and a wide spread could be the most probable reason of what happened. But this needs to be confirmed by Funding Pips who controls the execution.

Panagiotis
