Why is Stop Loss much greater than expected (according to pips)??

Hello Traders!

I'm fairly new to trading in the Forex market using cTrader and as I am getting acquainted with the platform and strategies I am having a hard time testing them due to an unexpected behavior in Risk Management. I am however using the Demo account provided by the cTrader Desktop application.

The issue is when I set a trade/order, I am setting my take profit for 3 pips, for example, and a stop loss for -3 pips and while in the New Order window everything seems fine. However, when i view the TP and SL on the actual chart the SL is much greater than the amount estimated for -3 pips. I have attached a screenshot to point out the difference.
Why is such a difference showing up?? For any number of successful trades, the moment I hit one unsuccessful trade all of my earnings are gone because the SL is so great (in terms of money).

Does this normally happen in a LIVE account??? Should I practice and backtest with an Demo account from an actual BROKER??

Stop Loss example
Why is the SL greater on the actual chart??

Thanks in advance,

Gil

P.S. I just noticed that the TP is also less on the actual chart....¿?

P.P.S. Okay, I'm seeing that this happens when i place a "Market Order" as opposed to a "Stop Order" or "Limit Order".
