When is a SuperTrend indicator actually supposed to flip?

Hi everyone:

This is more a "how is this indicator supposed to work" kind of question.

When is the SuperTrend indicator supposed to flip? I keep reading online it's when the price passes through it. But nothing actually defines what price is the "price".

I'm guessing the current "close" price, similar to how the PSAR works? Or with the SuperTrend is it supposed to be the ASK price when bars are going up through the current ST, and the BID price when bars are going down through the ST?

Hi FireMyst,

As far as I know it is the close price which is considering only the bid price.

This indicator is available for download for free, so we do not have plans to add it as a built-in indicator.
