How to become a cTrader strategy provider?
28 Aug 2021, 16:10

I’m not trying to get the advice here on where to click to apply for account manager’s status with ctrader. The help center has got a clear explanation on this one.
The question I’m trying to raise here is: how to DARE to become a ctrader strategy provider?
Community members are aware that there are a number of unscrupulous strategy providers that get their customers involved in risky market activities such as sitting out major drawdowns, averaging, martingaling, etc.
I just want to make extra money by attracting investors’ funds. Ctrader’s functionality allows doing so easily with any broker of my choice. Yet, there is a fear that people can suspect me in fraudulent intentions even though I don’t have any.
Have you ever had a similar experience? How to overcome the fear?
If you subscribe to cTrader strategies, what are the reasons that make you suspect scam taking place?

The choice of ctrader brokers will also matter I guess.

Some people perceive other people’s funds easier to manage from a psychological perspective. They take it easier, make fewer mistakes, get less involved emotionally, which is not bad at all. Others like you perceive losing somebody else’s funds to be a worse outcome than losing your own money.
I think in the long run the latter attitude is better for subscribers so you do have a chance to become a good funds manager. Carelessness is not something market gods favor.

I'm definitely the second type and that's very nice of you to say about these long-term chances :)

Well said! I also want to add a few words about undesirable suspicions. Publicity always involves some, whatever you choose to do: TED speeches or public funds management. That’s just a matter of personal preference to opt for publicity and the advantages it gives or do your own business silently.
Personally I think anyone can get used to dealing with haters. The most important thing is that you know you don’t plan to scam people. that simple! Moreover, there are a lot of nice people around, there aren’t that many haters out there even though they can be quite annoying.
I also agree with the above, the choice of a nice ctrader broker will also help building up credibility.

I really hope you are right! There are always some doubts and suspicions when it comes to money. That's understandable. The question is how to minimize these suspicions. There must be some hints on what makes people nervous so that you don't do that when applying for becoming a strategy provider.
The choice of the proper ctrader broker was also mentioned twice already. I've got to thin about it as I previously thought that any of cTrader brokers can suit.
