Trendbar Volume in ticks, please explain???

Trendbar Volume in ticks, please explain???

The documentation of ProtoOATrendbar specifies the volume of the bar in ticks. What does that mean? I understand the concept of tick prices, l don't see how that can be expressed in volumes. So how do we interpret the volume that comes with the TrendBar? How do we convert it to money value?
