I would like to be able to host my algorithms on the cloud so that I can use them from my phone but I don't see the option to do that. Could it be because I'm on a Mac? If so, when will it be available? And is there another way to achieve this?

Cloud execution is not available on cTrader for Mac at the moment, it will be available on the next major update. In the meanwhile, you can use the Windows version instead.

Optimization runs passes in batches. So when some passes finish and some are still executing, it needs to wait for the remaining to execute, before it starts a new batch of passes.

FIX API is language neutral. It's just text messages streamed over TCP. You can use any language you want send and receive these messages.
